Spokane Police Apologize to Woman Cleared in Hit and Run Investigation

Spokane Police have apologized to a woman who was once considered a person of interset in a fatal hit and run.

Detectives towed Terri Johnson's vehicle into evidence last week because it matched the description of the suspect vehicle and had front end damage.

Last Friday, police cleared Johnson of any involvement in the death of Don Foster and released her vehicle.

Johnson says she understands police are doing their job but she felt like she was declared guilty before being proven innocent.

Today, police issued an apology to Johnson.

Detectives continue to investigate who hit and killed Foster last month on the Greene Street bridge last month.
